Construction Technical Vendor Manager : Supply Chain Risk, Technical Vendor Management [Luxembourg]


 
A University degree in a Business Management, Procurement, Human Rights, Law or related topic or 5-7 years in similar position.
Proven project management - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical skills with aptitude for figures and data-driven argumentation - Proficient in written and spoken English

Construction Technical Vendor Management (TVM) support Global Engineering Security Services (GE&SS) to build the Amazon Network; supporting Amazons end customer. This role is responsible for identifying & managing the performance improvement of Construction vendors (General Contractors and Professional services consultants)
A key objective of the role is to find, secure and manage increasing value from our vendors. This individual will build and maintain relationships with existing & new vendors to support developing their capacity/capability to efficiently deliver high-quality projects safely, on time and within the defined budget and aligned to Amazons Supplier Code of Conduct .

The successful candidate will have strong level of ownership and be a highly motivated individual who has proven Project Management experience. We are looking for a self-starter who is decisive, and is able to move with speed to implement ideas, having the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate should be analytical, resourceful and customer focused. She/he should have proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced and dynamic business environments while managing the needs of multiple groups of stakeholders. This role presents the opportunity to travel and work in multiple countries and cultures, based in Luxembourg with up to 20% of time traveling to other EMEA countries.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain the GC & Consultant Procurement Strategy together with Procurement Team;
2. Collect and sync feedback on Developer, GCs and Consultants by monitoring performance throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Collaborate with GPO to understand requirements for Supplier Diversity/develop programs:
4. Collaborate with SR to develop, implement & manage the Construction Social Responsibility . This will include reviewing SR data captured from Construction sites, recommending audits and managing any ‘non-conformity’ or findings through to closure with vendors.
5. Lead Pre-Qualification for the EMEA supply chain, collaborating with GPO, SR, and H&S to ensure all vendors meet or exceed the bar. Work with 3rd Party Pre-Qualification organisation to manage Pre-Qualification target & implementation.
6. Dive deep to understand challenges in the supply chain, using data to establish baselines, recommend & track improvement plan/actions and support GPO decision making for future tenders with supplier selection based on past/current performance.
7. Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests. Lead critical path schedule items and escalate to leadership on potential risks and delays.
8. Be a business partner with GPO, SR, Health & Safety, Pre-Construction and Construction teams, driving mitigation of supply chain risk deliverables to mitigate potential risk. Always seek ways to automate and simplify .

Cross functional experience, especially procurement, social responsibility, supply chain risk, planning, project management or customer/supplier management- Excellent knowledge of Excel and database work - Experiences in contract management or tender management will be considered a plus - Past experiences in either Social responsibility, vendor management or technical/management roles on construction sites will be considered a plus – Italian, German, French, Polish speakers are considered preferred
